Solar Ovens are a simple type of oven used to heat things up to a much higher temperature. Most of the designs I saw had similar factors: walls made of a durable material such as wood or cardboard, glass or foil to cover the top and let sun in, and finally a reflective material on the inside to keep heat trapped in and heat up food. This project excited me because of the possibilities my partner and I could make. Initially, my partner and I wanted to do a pizza box design, a simple box design that can open and close, and has tinfoil on the inside to keep heat in.
Through lots of trial and error, I learned that if our tinfoil is crumbled, wont reflect heat as well. In our attempt. There was a lot of trial and error that was similar to that, like how we had to cut back on things like painting and testing more.
