My group and I learned about Japan during the duration of this project. For example, I didn't even know the rickshaw was from Japan before starting this project. I also didn't know how small, and how little resources Japan had. Most of what I learned about Japan was about the culture. This includes the foods, social construct, activities, etc. Because of what I learned about the culture, I think my favorite product of my group's was the foods brought to exhibition. In particular, the rice balls, also known as onigiri.
Something that has changed over the recent years is that Japan used to have export agricultural products, but now export manufactured goods like steel and cars. Something that has stayed the same is that the food is always doing something innovative. In all, seeing what Japan was like got me interested in Japan's culture as well as made me realize how interesting other cultures could be.
