The project "We've Got Style" was one of my favorites. We got to learn about story structure, then create our own short stories, poems, or events in our lives. It was simply a project where I was in control of what I wanted to do. There was a lot of creative freedom.
After the first draft of our story was done, we got critique partners so I could explore more of what kind of creativity my class mates had. My critique partner, Maya, had a great story based off of the show Doctor Who, and I think it's a very interesting thing that she based it off of a show, not copying the show but still using it as a theme. Critiquing is a great thing to do because it grown communication, as well as the satisfaction of seeing something become better than it was before. That is why I think I showed both collaboration and respect by critiquing in a helpful and kind way.
I could have done better in my story and work ethic, however. When I turned in my story, there was a few grammar and formatting mistakes that I could have easily gotten help on, but I didn't. Still, I put a lot of effort into my story, trying to add comedy, an underlying theme, as well as spending a lot of time on the cover and appeal of the book.
